2nd February 2023 — Veganuary, the global organisation encouraging people to try vegan in January and beyond, has again broken all previous records and welcomed more participants than ever before. 706,695 people officially signed-up from nearly every country in the world. Only Vatican City and North Korea (where the internet is banned) are missing from the official list of participants for 2023. India broke its last year’s record with more than 90,000 sign ups this year.
The campaign’s social media presence also continues to grow around the world with #Veganuary now having more than 1.9 million posts on Instagram and over 300 million people engaging with Veganuary’s international social media channels in January 2023. The movement’s popularity in India has been driven partly through the 10 Indian Ambassadors and supporters from the fields of movies, professional sports, fitness, mountaineering and professional chefs.
Corporate participation has also seen a surge in 2023, with the number of Indian businesses taking part in Veganuary doubling from the previous year. Major national brands, retailers, and restaurants, including BigBasket, Nature’s Basket, Swiggy Instamart, Baskin Robbins, Wingreens World, and many more joined Veganuary by introducing new products, promotions, and special menu items, while creating specialized marketing campaigns for plant-based products.

फिल्मों में आपने ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि पर आधारित कहानियां देखी होंगी लेकिन संभवतः पहली बार भारतीय म्युज़िक वीडियो जगत में एक ऐसा अल्बम आ रहा है जो एक पीरियड फ़िल्म की फीलिंग देगा। जी हां, गाने का नाम है “तेरी मेरी दास्तान”, जिसे निर्देशक नितिन चंद ने बड़ी कुशलता से डायरेक्ट किया है। ये अनूठा म्युज़िक वीडियो 8 फरवरी 2023 को ओरिजिनल म्युज़िक गैंग (OMG) के ऑफिशियल यूट्यूब चैनल पर रिलीज होने जा रहा है, जिसकी चर्चा अभी से शुरू हो गई है।
सलमान खान की फ़िल्म “प्रेम रतन धन पायो”, अक्षय कुमार की फ़िल्म खिलाड़ी 786 के गीत “हुक्का बार” जैसी कई सुपरहिट फिल्मों में अपनी अद्भुत आवाज दे चुके सिंगर विनीत सिंह ने इस बेहतरीन गाने को अपनी आवाज़ दी है, गायकी में उनका साथ दिया है प्रतीक्षा श्रीवास्तव ने, जो अपनी सुमधुर आवाज़ के कारण अपने यूट्यूब चैनल पर ऑलरेडी काफी शोहरत हासिल कर चुकी हैं। संगीतकार अभिनव मेहर हैं, जबकि निर्माता सतीश शाह और आशुतोष उपाध्याय हैं।
एकदम फिल्मी स्टाइल में काफी भव्य रूप से फिल्माए गए इस वीडियो में नेपाल की चर्चित अदाकारा आंचल शर्मा और आर आर खड़का की जोड़ी नजर आएगी। इस वीडियो में पारस शाह और सोनू मिश्रा भी अभिनय में साथ देते हुए नज़र आएंगे।
गाने के कोरियोग्राफर सियोन श्रेष्ठा, डीओपी जोगेश गोराई व नवराज हैं। गाने की शूटिंग जयपुर के ऐतिहासिक महलों में बड़े पैमाने पर की गई है। थोड़ी शूटिंग नेपाल में भी हुई है।
वीडियो डायरेक्टर नितिन चंद ने बताया कि 16वीं शताब्दी के युग में सेट इस वीडियो की कहानी दो प्रेमियों की असीमित मोहब्ब्त की दास्तान है, जिसमें बेइंतहा प्यार है, साज़िशें हैं, धोखा है। वीडियो ये दर्शाता है कि सच्चा प्रेम हमेशा ज़िंदा रहता है। इसकी थीम काफी अलग है, किसी वीडियो सॉन्ग में पहली बार ऐसी कहानी प्रस्तुत की है कि दर्शक भी चौंक जाएंगे। कुछ मिनट के इस वीडियो में ऑडिएंस प्राचीन समय की सभ्यता, संस्कृति, राजा रानी का रहन सहन, तलवारबाजी, ऐक्शन, रोमांस सबकुछ देखने को मिलेगा।”
वीडियो के निर्माता एवं निर्देशक ये दावा करते हैं कि भारतीय म्युज़िक वीडियो की इंडस्ट्री में ऐसे विजुअल्स, सेट्स, कोरियोग्राफी और अदाकारी पहली बार दर्शकों को देखने को मिलेगी, जिसका सॉन्ग भी बहुत ही कर्णप्रिय है।
बता दें कि नितिन चंद बॉलीवुड में संजय लीला भंसाली और हॉलीवुड में रॉबर्ट रोड्रिग्स को अपना मनपसंद डायरेक्टर मानते हैं। वह 2006 से 2009 तक टी सीरीज में एडिटर के रूप में भी अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं। बाद में वह अपने प्रोडक्शन हाउस के द्वारा काफी सारे म्युज़िक वीडियो कर चुके हैं।

Sir Tell us about your self?
My name is Saqib Gulzar “I’ve been working as a casting director for over 12 years now, and I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including feature films, television series, and theater productions. I approach casting with an open mind and a focus on finding the right actor for each role. I have a strong network of agents and managers, and I enjoy working with them to discover new talent and bring them in for auditions.
One of my most memorable projects was casting in Web series Masaba Masaba Season . It was a challenging process, as we needed to find people with intense fashion who could portray a dapper and dashing character. We held auditions with a large number of actors, and ultimately, we were able to find the perfect fits. It was a great feeling to see the final product on the big screen and know that we had played a part in bringing it to life.
Looking to the future, I am excited to continue working on a variety of projects and to discover new talent. I am always on the lookout for fresh and exciting actors, and I am eager to help them showcase their skills and abilities on screen.
What inspired me to be a Casting director?
“I’ve always had a passion for the performing arts, and I’ve always been fascinated by the process of casting. I started my career as a junior artist supplier, and I was always intrigued by how directors and casting directors decided which actors were right for which roles. As I gained more experience in the industry, I realized that I had a knack for spotting talent and envisioning actors in different roles.
I was also drawn to the creative side of casting. I enjoy the challenge of finding actors who can bring a character to life, and I love the opportunity to work with directors and producers to shape the cast of a project.
Share your beautiful experience so far?
One of my most challenging yet rewarding experiences was casting Avrodh seasons 1 and The locations were remote and unexplored, and the climate was challenging, with poor road connectivity. I had to provide a cast of at least 200 actors each day, which required intense coordination with both the cast and the production team. Despite the challenges, it was a beautiful experience to see the final product and know that we had played a part in bringing it to life.”
One of the most challenging aspects of casting Avrodh was finding actors who were not only talented, but also able to handle the physical demands of filming in such remote and harsh locations. We had to ensure that the actors were not only able to deliver strong performances, but also had the stamina and resilience to withstand the long days and tough conditions.
In addition to the logistical challenges, casting Avrodh also required a high level of sensitivity and cultural awareness. The show was set in a specific time and place, and it was important for us to accurately represent the diverse cast of characters in the story. This meant thoroughly researching the historical and cultural context of the show, and being mindful of the representation of different communities and groups.
Despite the difficulties, I am extremely proud of the final product and the talented cast that brought the characters to life. It was a truly rewarding experience to be a part of such a unique and impactful project.
What are you upcoming and projects done so far?
Currently, I am working on a new featured film based on a Hindu family, which we are in the process of casting. I am also preparing for a feature film that will begin production later this month. In the past, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including some periodic movie, featured movies ,short movies, web series, songs ,TVC’s and documentaries.
Being a youth icon message for youth of Kashmir who want to be in films ?
First and foremost, I want to encourage you to pursue your dreams with passion and determination. The film industry can be a challenging and competitive field, but with hard work and dedication, you can achieve your goals.
I also want to remind you that representation matters, and that it is important to tell diverse and authentic stories that reflect the rich culture and history of our region. Don’t be afraid to share your unique perspective and voice with the world.
Finally, I encourage you to take advantage of any opportunities that come your way.

What were the challenges you faced during this journey ?
It is easy for me to write poetry or shayaris.. But when we talk about technical grounds of writing. Form of writing matters more.. I used to write in Hindi. But in order to give it the touch of Urdu .I myself have to reshuffle my poetries so my times… To bring it in proper form by replacing some of its words with Urdu wordings….
What is your next project as you are working on a song also?
Well I’m working on a song these days which is written by me, hopefully it will be loved by my fans and well-wishers ,Yes my goal is to improve my skills.. step wise step with my each new project… In my every new project .I try to uplift my level little more… This time you expect more…
Since you are an inspiration so what’s your message for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir ?
My message to the youth is that, first set your goal… And work on it consistently. Forget all distractions and always have faith in your God.Well, I will add to stay away from something that drags you down and make you feel negative.

About House of Gods:
Do we have any meaningful control over our own lives or are we mere puppets dangling from the strings maneuvered by an ever-powerful entity? This is the proverbial and insistent question Deepak Mer has asked through his paintings – House of Gods.
Peer closely and you will discover a host of images hiding within/behind other images. It is a wonderful maze, a labyrinth of consciousness taking you to places the mind finds hard to fathom with its limited span of attention.
Some paintings will reveal the Kundalini Shakti, some the Nag bandha, another will depict something as simple as a compass. However, simple or complex the painting seems to be, it will always lure you to gaze and will divulge you secrets that at first defy the eye.
The main subjects are the figurines which are human bodies seemingly suspended in the air, using telling gestures, making you wonder whether they are asking the proverbial yet timeless question that man has still not been able to answer: “Does destiny exist? Is it all fated in the end? Or can we influence fate’s maneuvers? Should we live by our own rules or would romancing the Gods cut a better deal?” After all, the mystery of what we are meant to do here is yet to be deciphered.
All works are an enthralling concoction of the artist’s keen attention to detail and reveal a curious mind, a vivid imagination and his trademark talent of treading the unbeaten path. The paintings are a proud display of skill with the entire range of media available in terms of shades and hues and are the epitome of the ‘multi-layered’ genre in painting, in the end, creating a beautiful spectrum of textures and surfaces. And, thereby, hangs a tale.
This collection is Deepak’s most celebrated series and has enjoyed patronage over the years, so much so that some of these paintings are now adorning the walls in several countries other than India.

Breaking NewsOn the Republic Day daughter of former ACP Mumbai Police, Mr Dattatray Bhargude, Dr. Bhagyashree’s Brand New Dental Clinic & Implant Centre situated at Dadar (West) Mumbai, was inaugurated in a grand fashion by Mr Ronnie Rodrigues (Head honco of Pearl Group of Companies and Publisher Editor-in-Chief of CineBuster Magazine) as he hosted the entire event. His team was present during the inauguration process. They greeted Dr Bhagyashree with a huge bouquets of flowers and wished her Best of Luck. The clinic was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon by Dr. Bhagyashree’s parents and her mentors Dr. Pradeep Joshi and Dr. Uday Shetty, besides media persons were present at the event.
Many dental services are available in this clinic like Dental Cleaning, Crowns and Bridges, Dental Implant, Teeth Whitening, Complete Denture, Gum Treatment, Smile Designing and Makeover, Cosmetic Dental, Orthodontic Treatment, Minor Oral Surgery, RCT/Re RCT etc.
Dr. Bhagyashree was overwhelmed with the arrangements made by Mr Rodrigues. She said, “I am very thankful to Ronnie sir, he has given me a big surprise. His blessings are always with me. Due to some reasons he did not come here but he has sent his love with his team members here. Ronnie ji has done the complete interior design here and hosted the event.” Incidentally the interior design is carried out by Mr Ronnie Rodrigues’ one of the companies, PBC Interior and Designers Pvt Ltd.
Dr. Bhagyashree added, “In 2015 I obtained my graduation degree, after that I worked with Dr. Pradeep Joshi for a couple of years,
I learned a lot from him. Then after post graduation, I joined Dr. Uday Shetty’s clinic where I received practical training. Working with him gave me a lot of technical knowledge. And I want to use all that knowledge in my clinic. Now the system of dental treatment has changed, everything has become digital. I intend to bring innovation and convenience to dental care. I am a specialist in gum treatment.”
Dr. Bhagyashree further said, “It will be my endeavor that all the patients who come to my clinic should be treated in such a way that will keep them healthy for years.”
Dr Bhagyashree ‘s mentor Dr. Uday Shetty said, “Dr. Bhagyashree has worked with me for a few years. Her hand is good in terms of treatment. She is a quick learner and has good manners while interacting with the patients. Her confidence has reflected in her practice. I wish her all the very best for her new clinic and her future endeavours.”
While interacting with media Dr Bhagyashree responded, “Today the life style has changed due to change in eating habits. These days dental problems have started arising from an early age. Today, cavities and gum problems are seen in teenagers and youngsters. I will spread awareness about keeping teeth and gums in good condition. For better teeth and gums, brushing at night before sleeping and in the morning is essential. My father Dattatray Bhargude has been a great support in my life. He has always motivated me and has supported me emotionally and financially too. I consider myself very lucky to have such supportive and strong parents.”
Dr. Bhagyashree’s father Dattatray Bhargude is a former ACP, Mumbai Police. He proudly said, “Bhagyashree was always a very bright student. She had great passion for studies. Seeing her talent, I enrolled her in the medical field and today she has become a good dentist. She has also opened her own clinic. The unique talent that Bhagyashree has, should be used for the benefit and service of the society. Ronnie Rodrigues is a very good friend of mine who always stands for the betterment of the society. I sincerely thank him for his support.”
Dr. Bhagyashree’s mother also said that Bhagyashree deserves this achievement, she is talented. I thank all the guests who came here.

Yogesh Rahar of Avak films, who has himself debuted as a producer, has been a diehard fan of Laal Rang and has spearheaded the effort for the sequel. Laal Rang 2 : Khoon Chusva is produced by Randeep Hooda Films, Avak Films & Jelly Bean Entertainment Co Produced by Anwar Ali and Sonu Kuntal. The film is slated to go on the floor soon. Laal Rang, set in Haryana is a dark humoured drama which revolved around the blood trade business involving sentiments of friendship, brotherhood, love and greed. The film’s magic lay in its fresh, quirky content, dialogues and memorable characters, particularly that of Shankar, immortalised by Randeep Hooda.
This also sees him joining hands once again with the director, Syed Ahmad Afzal. Randeep is currently on a career high with his recent series CAT that is winning audiences across the world. On asking the actor about the recent endeavour, Randeep said “Shankar Malik is one character that will always stay close to my heart, the film even after 7 years stays relevant & has a dedicated fan-base to it. This is what has compelled me to embark on this new journey as a producer too with a lot of joy and a sense of responsibility towards it.”
The director Syed Ahmed Afzal fresh from the super success of Shiksha Mandal web series had this to say about Laal Rang 2, “We are extremely excited to begin the madness again, the storyline is dark, murky and lays the perfect plinth for an enchanting film and we once again have a chance to deliver something memorable. The essence of the sequel shall remain akin to the original. This sequel will be darker, meaner, violent and yet funny.”

Showstopper Malobika Banerjee’s presence only confirmed that a swimwear fashion show in winter wasn’t at all out of place. As a run up to the summers, the Show was a sneak peek of interesting ideas to look forward to.
“The cloth and materials used for the artfully-designed swimwear has been made with reusable products and extinguished materials of different states in India. It has a strong connection with elements of pan-India ethnicity as well as local heritage,” says Malobika Banerjee of Sky Crew – actor, pop queen, singer, songwriter. She added that fashion is not only for looking gorgeous, it should be a huge social responsibility which affects society in very positive ways.
“Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong, it is about changing the way the world perceives their strength. Today’s event is an attempt to create a domino effect, to bring a change in the perspective on how women are looked upon at on the basis of their lifestyle and clothing. In this event, that is exactly what we plan to achieve, and hence the theme – `Amar Poshak Amar Decision’ – becomes relevant,” says fashionista and entrepreneur, Anita Dutta, CEO, Aneebee Entertainments.
“Also, the deep thought behind the use or rather re-use of unique unconventional natural materials for making the wearable is a fashion statement in itself a trendsetter for the summers. It is very heartening to be appreciated by a discerning Kolkata audience,”
The sundowner Show drew tinsel town celebs and fashion aficionados in good measure who rubbed shoulders with other eminent Kolkatans and young fashion wannabes and professionals.
The event was high in terms of not only the glamour quotient but also for its focus on social issues pertaining to women and also fashion and sustainability. It was also iconoclastic in advocating the voice for freedom of outfit for women; uphold the dignity of choice for women.

Basannt R Rasiwasia has created an app “revaastu”, where one can click a picture of their room and check and correct basic and simple Vaastu requirements like main door, living room, master bedroom, children’s room, study, kitchen, temple, staircase, toilets, locker, mirror and shoe rack placement for themselves. His next mission is to create a second app where one can check the Vaastu at blueprint level itself.
“My life changed when I learnt Vaastu. I want people to stop looking outside for positivity from other cultures. When we have it in abundance in our India itself. This empowering app is to help every Indian better his energies at home itself, and that is the need of the hour,” avers Basannt R Rasiwasia who has earlier been conferred the Swayambhu Vishwakarma Astroyogi Award by MEGA Foundation.
He is known for his involvement in girl child education, helping in marriage of orphan girls, and cremation of unclaimed bodies from morgues and hospitals during Covid.

Having gained unique access to the most sophisticated guns and military technology for a global superpower, 27-year old Uday Singh launched his YouTube GUN TOUR channel, showcasing everything from tanks, armoured vehicles, firearms, jets and other military equipment and engineering.
The channel shows you how to shoot at the latest greatest Kalashnikov guns, drive in the Armageddon BMP-3 tank, train with a paramilitary in bootcamp, as well as experience some non-military tech like flying in a private 2-seater jet at 5G and skydiving.
The host and founder of the channel, Mr. Singh, comes from an Indian military family and shares his inspiration. “I grew up in a military family – most of my Uncles and grand Uncles were in the Indian army. I loved shooting beer bottles in my farmhouse and am fascinated with military equipment.”
Uday, who hails from Chandigarh, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Moscow and remained there afterwards. He explained the birth of the channel, “People are fascinated by military equipment and engineering – my friends and I thought there’s a unique opportunity to showcase that in a YouTube channel. Amazingly, when we reached out to manufacturers, they were open to making it happen – and so Gun Tour was born! We’ve had some crazy experiences during our shoots, risking everything to get crazy angles and footage.”
The channel goes beyond just the engineering and technology. Uday explains, “I studied here and love the country, so I travel to discover new places, try exotic food, meet interesting people and have a lot of fun. That’s an inspiring cultural experience that I’m glad to share with my homeland.”
The channel went live in December and has already gained a global following and over 50,000 views, bringing viewers on a journey through an adrenaline-fueled world. Join us as we showcase the best of what this region has to offer, and discover something new and exciting with every episode.

Launched by Uday Singh, a 27-year old who went from Chandigarh, India, to Moscow for his Bachelors in International Relations and Law. Warren Pereira organized a talk on his award-winning documentary with environmentalist Bittu Sahgal, Green Footprint Ambassador of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation Rupali Suri and Earth Activist Dr Anusha Srinivasan Iyer. The documentary, titled, Tiger 24 follows the path of the tiger Ustad through an unimaginable journey respite with heroism, romance, action and a rollercoaster of emotions.
India’s most awaited wildlife documentary, Warren Pereira’s Tiger 24, in the theatres as a limited release, can change the future of tiger conservation in India. Mumbai’s AA Films has picked up India theatrical rights of the film which has been released in theaters and digital platforms in North America but now comes home to India. At the Jaipur International Film Festival, the film was lauded and awarded, and now entices audiences to traverse the journey of Tiger 24, a wild tiger who kills men who enter his territory, then being declared a man-eater and locked up in a zoo. This galvanizes massive social uproar and activists to take their cause to the streets, online, on billboards and all the way to the High Court and Supreme Court.
Tiger 24 has earlier won the Panda Award at the 2022 Wildscreen Festival and was a finalist at the 2022 Jackson Wild Media Awards, where previous winners include My Octopus Teacher. The film also claimed Best Documentary at the 2022 Burbank International Film Festival. Pereira served as the film’s Director and Producer, with The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell exec producing alongside Eagle Egilsson, Howard Barish, Zach Mann and Stephen Nemeth.
Pereira’s past work has garnered top accolades, including the Cannes Gold Lion, and has been showcased at top international film festivals. Clients under his production company W Films include The Royal Bank of Scotland, Spectrum, Tissot, NBA, Hpnotiq, The Wall Street Journal and agencies such as DDB and CAA. Additionally, Pereira founded The Tiger Fund LLC, which produces content related to tiger conservation, including films for the government of India. The filmmaker is currently in post-production on the feature-length doc The Bamera Tiger, and is at the same time developing a horror pic entitled Scarebnb and the darkly comic thriller, Double Bite.

Art ExhibitionMumbai-based documentary photographer Padma Shri Sudharak Olwe’s Firefly, an exhibition of photographs, artefacts and performance, on ‘Lavani’ – a traditional dance form of Maharashtra opened at the Nine Fish Art Gallery in Byculla, Mumbai.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Vidya Balan, with attendees including celebrities, artists, journalists and curators alike, including Parvez Damania, Anup Jalota, Rupali Suri, Niharica Raizada, Vilas Shinde and Pablo Bartholomew among others.
The 45 photographs that are documented over 20 years by Sudharak Olwe attempt to capture the ‘lavanya’ (beauty), struggles and journey of the social lives of these folk artistes and look beyond the popular perception of the traditional dance form. “I want to share their art and life in my photos,” elaborated Sudharak, who still continues to document the Lavani artistes.
More about Sudharak Olwe, who has been marking a new global space for Indian photography, with exhibitions in Malmo (Sweden), Lisbon, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Washington, Dhaka, Mumbai and Delhi among others. Olwe is known for his extraordinary work capturing in both rural and urban communities, presenting tales of resilience, courage, and change. In 2005, Olwe was one of the four awardees for National Geographic’s “All Roads Photography Program: In 2016, he received the Padma Shri, one of highest civilian awards awarded by the Government of India.
In the current exhibition, Sudharak Olwe’s timeless frames pay a tribute to this traditional art form that has contributed tremendously to the development of Marathi folk theatre. Prominent Lavani traditional folk artistes from Solapur were honoured at the event, the Lavani artistes shared their stories through their energetic performance as well. The proceeds helped the education of children of Lavani dancers.
Along with the photographs by Sudharak Olwe, artefacts curated by Gourmoni Das are also on display.
For the uninitiated, ‘Lavani’ is a traditional dance form that originated in Maharashtra in the 18th and 19th centuries. Lavani is performed on public stage, and is a performative tradition practiced by a certain set of communities consisting of interactive gestures, and songs and noted for its biting dialogues often toned with socio-political satire; the dancers are always agile and attentive to the audience’s reactions.
The exhibition was presented by Nine Fish Art Gallery & Dot Line Space Art Foundation.

अनुपम खेर और मैरी कॉम दोनों एक लम्बे अर्से से एक-दूसरे के प्रशंसक रहे हैं. ऐसे में फ़िल्म के पोस्टरों के लॉन्च के दौरान दोनों ने एक-दूसरे के काम और शख़्सियत की ख़ूब तारीफ़ और एक्टिंग से लेकर बॉक्सिंग तक हर विषय पर मज़ेदार बातें कीं. इतना ही नहीं, मैरी कॉम ने अनुपम खेर को बॉक्सिंग के गुर भी सिखाए और अनुपम खेर ने इन गुरों को सीखने की शिद्दत से कोशिश भी की. दोनों ने हंसते-खेलते हुए एक दूसरे के साथ मॉक मैच का मज़ा भी लिया.
इस ख़ास मौके पर अनुपम खेर ने अपनी ख़ुशी बयां करते हुए कहा, “बॉक्सिंग के खेल में एक ऊंचा ओहदा रखनेवाली और करोड़ों दिलों में बसनेवाली मैरी कॉम द्वारा मेरी फ़िल्म के पोस्टरों को लॉन्च किये जाने से बढ़कर मेरे लिए और कोई ख़ुशी की बात नहीं हो सकती है. उन्होंने मेरी तारीफ़ करते हुए काफ़ी उदारता दिखाई. वे तेज़ गति से खेले जानेवाले खेल को पसंद करती हैं और उन्हें ऐड फ़िल्मों के रीटेक्स से चिढ़ है. इसे वो बहुत सहजता के साथ कबूलती भी हैं. मैरी कॉम भारत की शान हैं.”
उल्लेखनीय है कि अनुपम खेर 6 बार वर्ल्ड बॉक्सिंग चैम्पियन रह चुकी मैरी कॉम की विनम्रता, सहजता और उनकी निश्चल हंसी से बेहद प्रभावित नज़र आए. अनुपम खेर ने कहा, “जो लोग दिल खोलकर ज़ोर ज़ोर से हंसते हैं, उनका दिल बड़ा ख़ूबसूरत होता है. मैं हमेशा से मैरी कॉम का प्रशंसक रहा हूं मगर आज उनकी विन्रमता देखकर मैं पूरी तरह से पिघल गया. सही मायनों में वो एक चैम्पियन हैं.”
अनुपम खेर ने आगे कहा, “शिव शास्त्री बोलबोआ एक बेहद रोमांचकारी फ़िल्म है जिसमें दिखाया गया है कि कैसे अमेरिका में दो अनजान शख़्स की मुलाक़ात होती है और फिर दोनों की ज़िंदगी हमेशा हमेशा के लिए बदल जाती है. यह फ़िल्म ना सिर्फ़ आपको हंसाएगी, आपका मनोरंजन करेगी, बल्कि यह आपको सोचने पर मजबूर करने के साथ साथ आपको प्रेरित भी ख़ूब करेगी. फ़िल्म में एक ख़ूबसूरत कुत्ता भी एक अहम रोल में नज़र आएगा जिसका नाम कैप्सूल रखा गया है. ग़ौरतलब है कि फ़िल्म में दिखाया गया है कि कैसे कुत्ता हरेक बात पर अपनी राय रखता है और उसकी सोच एक बड़े ही अनूठे अंदाज़ में दर्शकों तक पहुंचती है.”
अपने साथी कलाकारों के बारे में बातें करते हुए अनुपम खेर कहते हैं, “नीना गुप्ता एक बेहद उम्दा कलाकर और बेहतरीन इंसान हैं. फ़िल्म में शारिब हाशमी एक बेहद अलहदा किस्म के रोल में नज़र आएंगे. जुगल हंसराज एक लम्बे अर्से बाद सिनेमा के पर्दे पर वापसी करने जा रहे हैं तो वहीं नरगिस फ़ाखरी एक बेहद ख़ूबसूरत किरदार में नज़र आएंगे. अजयन वेणुगोपलन ने हमारी फ़िल्म को बहुत ही बढ़िया ढंग से डायरेक्ट किया है. इससे पहले वो ‘मेट्रो पार्क’ नामक सीरीज़ बना चुके हैं.”

Ms Nidarshana Gowani who is a strong believer in rich culture and traditions, upholds this tradition every year and organizes community celebrations that help people enjoy the festival. This year, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti she organized a kite flying for kids and sweets and savouries for all attendees.
The fun-filled event was a grand success and was attended by eminent personalities such as Urvashi Dholakia who was the chief guest at the event. Urvashi handed out prizes to the winners of the kite flying competition and the best-dressed women at the event. The criteria to be eligible for the prize of ‘best-dressed woman’ was to be dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire. It was a great event full of traditional and festive vibes. Sumita Suman Singh, the spokesperson of BJP and Gazala Pathan also attended the event.

In solidarity with #16DaysOfActivism to end Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG), the play, written and directed by the award-winning playwright, Smita Bharti, is a series of interconnected letters in the form of monologues by 9 characters, set in one triggering night.
Produced under the ‘Stage For Change’ initiative of SBOX by Sakshi (Regd. NGO 1992), Ghat Ghat Mein Panchi Bolta Hai is an effort to support the United Nations Secretary-General’s UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women initiative (UNiTE), which calls for global action to increase awareness, galvanise advocacy efforts and share knowledge and innovations to end VAWG once and for all.
Speaking about the device, Smita Bharti states “Writing letters to each other is a lost art, and a powerful one that travels inwards and out; expositioning conscious positions and subliminal fears. The play explores these notions buried deep in the recesses of our mind, which come alive when we give ourselves the space and time. This series of letters tying isolated decisions taken by 9 characters over a lifetime into a cohesive whole, traverses the stories they tell themselves and live out with others; with secrets that fester and gloom that corrodes.”
Talking about the choreography Ashutosh Arya said, “Through dance I had to show the life of Sanjay a Pedophile played by Sandip sir, it was not easy as intricate relationships details had to be depicted though movement, I am extremely thankful to Smita ji for the untrusting the belief in me.”
Sandip Soparrkar is getting huge critical acclaim and there are some theatrical performances by him which one must see to understand his truly exceptional acting skills.
Most of the audience was seen rushing to the theatres simply because of the cast who was showcasing it and we will be damned if he wasn’t always one of those few names! Tell Us More about Your Self?
Well I’m from Kulgam south Kashmir. Basically I am from Hawanad Chawalgam a small village in Kulgam district of South Kashmir, my primary education was done in a private school.
How You Entered in Acting what was the Inspiration?
“Well its different as Before 1990, Local Dialect Milo Dramas were performed on stage in our locality, in which all the people of the locality participated. There were and most of the time all the people of the district used to give an example of it, listening to it from the elders. Aa a child, I was invited to children’s programs on Doordarshan and I kept finding a way and I went. After the matriculation results, the studies were affected for three years, after that I entered the college and got more opportunities to do many programs on the stage. Then advanced in journalism and in Jammu and Kashmir there was no other channel except the local Doordarshan on which I could show my talent but time is not too late to change and that time is going on”.
So Tell Us Way towards Bollywood?
“Bollywood was a dream During Childhood .I earned name in films, national dramas and other national broadcasts. Film productions also come under the scope of work and the opportunity to work”.
How Do You Face Local Atmosphere?
“Acting is a skill but even today most of the people in Kashmir consider it something wrong by giving it a funny color.Which is not good it must be equally respected because an actor being skilled person is very disciplined and hardworking ,to shoot in minus temperature for 10 hours in winters is not everyone’s Cup of Tea”.
What’s You Point on Films in Kashmir?
“Having a film culture in Kashmir is a welcome step as many thousands of Bollywood people today come to Kashmir for film making, giving local artists an opportunity to showcase their art. Ever since I appeared on the big screen, a feeling has arisen in the youth of Kashmir that anything can be done if a person works hard. Running in which I am self-diagnosed.”

Performing this song was challenging for me as I had to act along with singing in it. But I am thankful to director sumeet Ranjan that he got me to do this work in the best way. I feel happy when I see myself on screen. This song has been shot in the desert of Jaisalmer.
Ashika further said that I thank all the guests who came on the occasion of the launch of my first video, music composer Sameer Sen, music composer Nikhil Kamat, comedian VIP, singer Divya Kumar. The song is about a girl who is out in search of her beloved, it is a Sufi song with emotions and pain in it.”
Ashika has inherited the talent of singing. She considers Guru Ritu Johri as her favorite singer, teacher and mentor.
Composer Ritu Johri told that at an early age Ashika has a passion for singing. There is a strange drawl in her voice. One day she was humming a Sufi song which impressed me a lot and I felt that Ashika’s first song should be a Sufi song. In this way the song Ranjhna was composed and everything went on as it was.
